SASHA D. MALLORY

Sasha Mallory just completed her second world tour with Madonna, the Madonna Rebel Heart Tour, and she is already preparing for her next job.  As the second place finalist of the 8th season of So You Think You Can Dance and accomplished dancer and choreography in the industry, she has been asked back this year as a mentor for the upcoming season, SYTYCD Next Generation.

Mallory’s training began in her hometown of Bakersfield, California at the age of five and since then she has trained at the top Academy’s and distinguished schools of dance around the world.  Including, but not limited to, the Royal Academy of Dance (R.A.D.), the Civic Dance Center, the Ailey School Summer Intensive and Certificate Program, Boston Summer Intensive and the Houston Ballet Summer Intensive to name a few.

Her first major dance breakthrough was with Adam Lambert on his Glamnation Tour 2010.  From there she went onto SYTYCD and was the runner up on the critically acclaimed shows’ 8th season.  Mallory has worked with a number of artists and companies in music videos, commercials, stage and live performances including Rihanna, Wayne Brady, Uh Huh Her and Budweiser.  Mallory has choreographed a number of pieces and productions in a variety of styles.  She teaches and judges on a number of dance conventions and competitions around the United States as her work schedule will allow her to.

Mallory’s talent and work does not end on the dance floor, she is a gifted painter and has donated some of her work to the LGBT Homeless Center in Los Angeles.  With the help of Jennifer Dawson, the Director of Major Gifts and one of the chairmen on the NoH8 Campaign, they were able to auction her work off to raise funds for a cause that remains close to her heart.

Mallory is one of the most accomplished female contemporary dancers of our time.  While live performances and jobs will always be a thrill, her shift of direction into teaching, choreographing and working with programs that give back to various communities are essential to her.  As an artist of many means and so many causes that need attention Mallory is setting her sights and goals on creating a wave of change for the next generation of artists to come.
