Jessica Monnig is a dancer, choreographer, master teacher, pilates and yoga instructor with a huge passion for movement, music, and wellness. Upon graduating college, she pursued dance professionally as a company member in Dana Foglia Dance. Jessica traveled with this company internationally performing Dana Foglia’s work, “Vatic”. Amongst other performances, she has had the unforgettable experience of dancing with Beyoncé in the 2014 MTV Music Video Awards.

Jessica has always felt an innate need to share the gift of dance with others. This drove her to teaching, where she has been able to mentor students for the past six years at multiple studios in Orange County, California. Her expertise and success as a teacher led her to be pursued on an international level, which took her to work in studios across Australia. Her work has earned her multiple choreography awards and led her students to championship titles.

The excitement and opportunity that the big city has to offer propelled Jessica to make the move to New York in August of 2018. She considers herself honored and humbled to have joined the Forward Space family, a place she was always meant to find. Along with Forward Space, she has begun a successful Mentorship Program, mentoring young dancers in California virtually and is excited to continue this mentoring work. Jessica’s driving force has always been the connection of movement and music and she hopes to continually be inspired while inspiring others, doing what she loves.
