Angelique Cruz is an artist from New York City. Her talents have allowed her not only to dance and teach around the country, but direct and choreograph as well. She received her B.F.A. in Dance from Long Island University, which allowed her the opportunity to perform works by world-renown companies such as Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Parsons Dance, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, MOMIX, and more. Soon afterwards, Angelique became a company member and soloist for LAYERS, under the direction of Khaleah London.

Angelique has performed in some of New York City’s grandest venues, including The Tilles Center, Madison Square Garden, Symphony Space, and Lincoln Center. She has lent her talents to both performing and producing works that range from commercial and concert dance to competitive dance and the musical theatre stage. Her eclectic collection of work spans from music videos for Radio Disney, full length musical productions, to showcasing at New York Fashion Week’s Target Style in Vogue event and more!

Currently, Angelique travels around the country as an adjudicator and teacher/choreographer for dance competitions and conventions. Her students have been recognized for technical excellence and her award-winning choreography has been nominated for the Industry Dance Award’s People’s Choice and Outstanding Performance Awards. Her focus is to encourage dancers to embrace their authenticity and inspire other artists to keep expanding boundaries through her innovative and captivating work.
