MARYANN CHAVEZ



MaryAnn Chavez is a California native, professional dancer, choreographer, and dance educator. With over a decade of experience in the commercial dance industry, she has traveled the world teaching and performing. MaryAnn is signed with Bloc Dance Agency and currently teaches on the Soul de Soul, Waves, and Turn It Up dance convention tours, while also serving as a judge for Legacy Dance Championships.
A three-time Capezio A.C.E. Awards finalist, MaryAnn was recently named an Artist in Residence at the prestigious Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University. Her credits include major brands such as Disney Channel, Apple Music, Forever 21, Splash Water, Microsoft, and Under Armour. She has danced alongside artists like Sophia Carson, OneRepublic, and FINNEAS, and served as a choreographer’s assistant on projects for Halsey, Bella Poarch, and Dancing with the Stars’ Maks, Val, and Peta.
MaryAnn’s choreographic work can be seen in Netflix’s Vivo animated music video “Beat of My Own Drum” featuring Missy Elliott, and in tour visuals for EDM artist Elderbrook.
Her teaching style fuses hip hop and contemporary foundations into a bold, dynamic blend. She is passionate about mentoring the next generation of artists with intention, heart, and real-world insight. MaryAnn has taught internationally in Argentina, Denmark, Malta, Italy, and Canada, and is the co-owner of Lume Dance—an industry prep program she leads alongside Monika Felice Smith.
