LIZ PORTER

Liz Porter is a Los Angeles transplant from St. Louis, MO. Liz attended college at Oklahoma City University, where she received a BFA in Dance Performance. She then went on to cheer with the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders before moving to LA 10 years ago. Since then, Liz has been working both on and off camera as a dancer and assistant choreographer for film and television.  Credits include The Office, Austin & Ally, Community, Dr. Ken, Mike and Molly, SYTYCD, Mobbed, Minute Maid, Heart of Dixie and Bring it On; Fight to the Finish.  Liz has, also, worked on stage both singing and dancing at the Lyric House in Oklahoma City on shows including Footloose, Chicago and Wizard of Oz and High School Musical at Disney Anaheim.

Liz has always loved traveling and teaching kids of all ages while pursuing her career in entertainment.  Her love for dance and passion for sharing this with young performers holds a very special place in her heart.  Liz believes not only in teaching a well-rounded class, but also educating students in the business of dance and entertainment.  Liz is classically trained in Ballet, Tap and Jazz and continues to implement these core ideas in her emotionally powered Lyrical and hard hitting Jazz pieces.  Liz has is fortunate enough to have traveled the US teaching along with Canada and Costa Rica.

Since having a background in cheer and dance Liz also loves to work with high school dance and professional cheer teams on creating visual and crowed pleasing choreography.

While not working and teaching Liz still loves to pack a bag and see the world, she is a strong believer that knowledge is power and continues to educate herself whenever and however possible.
