ALEXIA MEYER

Alexia Meyer grew up in Orem, Utah where she trained intensely at The Dance Club in many different styles of dance. Starting at a young age, Alexia performed in the 2002 Olympics, was Clara in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and won National Sr. Outstanding Dancer for New York City Dance Alliance. During her senior year, Alexia received the Sterling Scholar award in dance and was chosen as her high school’s valedictorian. After attending Pace University as a Commercial Dance Major in NYC, Alexia was a contestant on Season 12 of So You Think You Can Dance and toured with the top 10 contestants across the USA and Canada. Since then, Alexia has gone on to perform many times including with Jaci Royal’s Royal Flux, Phoenix and Pharside’s Academy of Villains, and at The Fred & Adele Astaire Awards in NYC. She has also been featured in commercials for Samsung Virtual Reality, SoFi, and Vlado Footwear. Alexia also loves to teach and has been teaching and assisting for NYCDA for over 5 years. Alexia has found a love for sports psychology and is happy incorporating that as she continues to teach, choreograph, and pursue her professional dance career in both LA and NYC.
